As much as we love our pets, we have to admit that they can't do all of the things that other higher order animals -- specifically humans -- can do... like drive a car, for instance. But in case a Spokane, Washington family was confused, they certainly found out the hard way when their crazy chihuahua took their car for a joyride, got into an accident, and hit a woman and a parked car.

According to Yahoo news, via a story from KREM-TV, Tabitha Ormaechea got the shock of her life when, while stopped at a stop sign, a car hit her from behind... and a chihuahua named Toby was behind the wheel.

"When I looked up, there was no one in the car, just a little dog up on the steering wheel peeking over looking at me," Ormaechea told KREM-TV. "I was shocked. I didn't know if I was crazy, if there was just this little dog that had taken a joyride."

According to Toby's owner, Jason Martinez, he left the dog in the car for a brief moment while he went inside a store to get some coffee. Not more than a minute later, the customers in the store told him that his car was rolling away. Jason thinks that his feisty pup knocked the gear shift into drive by accident.

And, according to The Independent, even though no one was injured, and the damage to both cars was minimal, Jason has revoked his dog's license to drive.

We're just thankful that no one was injured!
