'Arrow' Season 4 Spoilers: Emily Bett Rickards Opens Up About Oliver and Felicity Romance Next Season
After a season of dark twists and turns, the Season 3 finale of "Arrow" ended on a light note as Oliver and Felicity drove off in a convertible into the sunset.
Although many "Arrow" fans were delighted to see Oliver and Felicity finally take the next step in their longstanding friendship, there is no certainty that "Olicity" will last in Season 4.
During an interview with IGN at the Upfronts in New York last month, actress Emily Bett Rickards opened up about her character, Felicity, and what she hopes to see regarding her romance with Oliver next season.
"I'll say that Oliver and Felicity have gone away and I have no idea where they went," Rickards said. "Hopefully Jamaica, an all-inclusive resort. I want lime sorbet, a pina colada, and I want to sit on the beach," joked the actress.
She went on to say that she would like to see Felicity and Oliver return to Starling City to fight crime as a couple.
"I would like them to do things as a couple, as a team, as well as be part of a team. I want them to deal with couple stuff -- honesty, vulnerability, sex. All that stuff."
Series star Stephen Amell also opened up about the upcoming season, telling E! News that the season will start a few months after the point where it left off.
"I know that we tend to follow a pretty typical timeline, so we'll be months later," he predicts. But aside from that, "I don't know anything. I just know that at the beginning of the season, like with all seasons, I will be running."
Actor Doug Jones also hinted that there is a possibility that Jake Simmons a.k.a Deathbolt may return in the fall. According to Cinema Blend, the vicious metahuman lost a battle with Captain Cold during the penultimate episode of "The Flash." However, Jones says that just because he suffered from a major defeat, that does not necessarily mean that Deathbolt won't reappear on the show, especially since death is relative on the comic book-based series.
"In a comic book world, death means nothing, but was this death? They never really did paint it as a full on death. I think I could give the writers some leeway. If I'm busy they don't have to bring me back, if I'm free and available and they want me, I'll return. We'll see," he told Comicbook.com.
