New images of "X-Men: Apocalypse" have been revealed as actress Alexandra Shipp showed off a new look for Storm.

The new image of Shipp showed her buzzing her hair off alongside a tweet stating: "Guess the secret's out."

The actress, who is portraying Storm in the third installment of the prequel trilogy, was already seen in a picture previously posted by director Bryan Singer with short hair.

It is not completely confirmed what kind of haircut this new Storm will have but rumors have surfaced about the character sporting a mohawk in the film. The haircut would not be a surprise since the film is set in the 1980's and in the comics Storm has a Mohawk in 1983's Uncanny X-Men #173, which lines up within the same time frame of "X-Men: Apocalypse."

Very few details are known about the film as it is currently shooting but most expect it to continue where "Days of Future Past" left off. The only real spoilers that have been revealed are the ones that Singer has released via social networks. Otherwise production has been safeguarded.

Singer is directing his fourth X-Men movie as he helmed the first two films in 2000 and 2002 and was also responsible for "Days of Future Past." The third installment was directed by Brett Ratner in 2006, and Matthew Vaughn rebooted the franchise in 2011 before Singer replaced him.

The movie is currently being shot in Montreal and is expected to be released in theaters on May 27, 2016. The film is set to star Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Rose Byrne, Oscar Isaac, Evan Peters and Olivia Munn. Nicholas Hoult will return as Beast, and there will also be a number of newcomers including Shipp, Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler and Tye Sheridan as Cyclops.
