TV's fall season programing has yet to start and viewers are already keen to know which shows to watch out for. CBS has recently come out with a list of its TV show schedule for the upcoming season, which finally revealed when superhero series addicts can finally get their first glimpse of the new "Supergirl."

The TV network has announced that the highly anticipated Greg Berlanti-produced superhero series will finally debut on October 26. A teaser video, which showed Melissa Benoist as Kara Zol-Er or Supergirl, was posted on Twitter. The clip pictured Benoist holding a card across her chest that said, "10/26/15" that she then put down to reveal herself wearing her superhero costume.

For the first episode, "Supergirl" will come right after a new episode from "The Big Bang Theory" at 8:30 p.m., wrote TV Line. It will then move to its original time slot of 8 p.m. beginning November 2.

There was no explanation provided for the switch on the schedule following the week of the premiere. According to a theory from Screen Rant, producers of the show and the network thought it might be more strategic to place the new show after a program that attracts many viewers such as "The Big Bang Theory" to help jump-start the series' viewership.

While the announcement of the series was met with mixed reactions, with some excited to see CBS' take on the superheroine, others seemed not too eager to jump into another comic book adaptation.

In May, it was reported that the pilot episode of the series was leaked on torrent and was made available for download. The copies were in very good condition, which surprised the people at Torrent Freak. An HD version came out right after the standard version for the 46-minute show came out.

Because of the leak, some viewers have speculated that it was only a marketing ploy from CBS to generate buzz around the TV show, said Forbes.

CBS and Warner Bros. Pictures did not comment on the issue.

"Supergirl" is CBS' first foray into the superhero trend that most TV networks have produced. Berlanti is also behind other successful comic book adapted TV shows such as "The Flash" and "Arrow."

Joining Benoist are Calista Flockhart, Mehcad Brooks, Chyler Leigh and David Harewood. Dean Cain and Helen Slater will also appear in the upcoming show.
