'Whitney & Bobbi Kristina' Book News Update: Days Before Being Found Unresponsive Bobbi Described as 'High on Something'
In the days leading up to her being found face down and unresponsive in the bathtub of the home she shared with boyfriend Nick Gordon, Bobbi Kristina Brown had started to look "very thin, very weak."
According to RadarOnline, neighbors of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown's only daughter detail that and more in an explosive new book that chronicles the troubled times and lifestyles of both mother and daughter.
In "Whitney & Bobby Kristina: The Deadly Price of Fame," author Ian Halperin also writes friends close to 22-year-old Bobbi Kristina allege she "looked like she was on drugs," with one source more specifically adding she "was always high on something" and often looked to be "on heroin."
In another passage, a woman identified as Ella points the finger directly at Gordon.
"I felt sad because I don't think Nick had her best interests at heart," she said.
Throughout much of the book, Gordon, 24, is described as a bad influence on Brown and someone "heavy into drinking, heavy into drugs." Another friend, Rasheed, allegedly shares these sentiments.
"He acted as if he owned Bobbi. He had her brainwashed. ... Nick always got his way. She was afraid of him," Rasheed added.
Since being rushed to a Georgia hospital and moved to the long-term rehab facility where she is now being cared for, Brown's family members have refused to allow Gordon to visit her.
Meanwhile, TMZ previously reported police have also launched a criminal investigation that targets him as the primary suspect after doctors discovered several other unexplained bruises on Brown's body.
Houston died in February 2012 after she was also discovered face down in the bathtub of the Beverly Hills hotel where she was staying. Since then, authorities have indicated she had drugs in her system at the time of her death.
