Samsung Galaxy S5 Release Date, Features & Specs: SamMobile Confirms Snapdragon 805 CPU and 2560x1440 Screen
With the consistent arrival of Samsung Galaxy S5 rumors coming every gadget fan's way, here comes an alleged confirmation of the reputable site SamMobile on the next flagship phone of Samsung to have the Snapdragon 805 CPU plus the 2560 x 1440 screen display spec.
The site also mentioned that the Galaxy S5 will be offered in two varying versions, in plastic and the other one in metal. The metal is expected to come with a higher price and no information is given yet if one of the two will be called by a different name. All that was stated is that the metal type will have a backplate made out of metal which could lead to a possible removable battery pack.
In the meantime, the 2560 x 1440 AMOLED display is already expected by most for this next Samsung flagship release. This is to make it a bit larger than the previous Galaxy S4 without compromising the need to make it comfortably portable and not as big as the Galaxy Note 3.
CNET News added that the seemingly Samsung-obsessed website also mentioned of the added allegedly confirmed features of the device which include the 16MP camera and the Exynos 6 or the Snapdragon 805 processor that runs the Android 4.4 KitKat. One thing is certain: the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S5 will surely have lots of power in its capacity to offer to its most loyal fans and followers. There was nothing mentioned though of the other rumored features like the eye scanner or the head tracker.
As for the Samsung Galaxy S5 price rumors, sources state that the metal version will be offered at around 800 euros while the plastic one may be set at 650 euros, NDTV Gadgets reports.
Earlier reports also assumed that Samsung will hold a global event in London to happen middle of March this year. The event is allegedly for the unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S5.
