Flintstones Bedrock City Park in Arizona Available for $2 Million
The Flintstones Bedrock City theme park located in Arizona is now available on the market for a price offer of $2 Million.
The announcement is posted on the theme park's website itself for all Flintstones fans to see, including R&B artist Rihanna who was recently spotted wearing a Flinstones attire for a birthday party.
The Bedrock City was established in 1972 as a family business. Aside from the theme park, the property also includes a dining place, an RV park and campground, a gift shop and a convenience store.
The park is operational and next owners can easily continue the business. Why? It actually has a great target market and the park's new owners may profit from it. Its website proudly informs that the Bedrock City is located at the "junction of Highways 64 and 180, 30 miles south of the Grand Canyon." The corridor also gets 5 million visitors passing through annually. This means, the park actually has an average of nearly 13,700 potential customers every day of the year.
Linda Speckels, the owner of the property that showcases a cartoon family living in the prehistoric times, is "diligently looking" for a buyer for the Flintstones theme park in Williams. The 73-year-old owner had beautiful memories treasured in the 30-acre property, which she exclusively shared with USA Today.
"Working with my family and watching kids go out the door into the park and scream with delight, and parents taking pictures and putting them in scrapbooks to smile at for years to come... that's what's made this job worth it," Speckels said.
Even her five daughters, whom she raised after her husband died in 1990, also loved the park very much. She, along with her children, continued running the business with each other's help.
"I raised five daughters here and every one has a different perspective of what it was like. One daughter says it's like 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding,' bringing people home to the statues in the front yard. Working together as a family - there's nothing better, and there's nothing harder. Being with them has been a joy," Speckles added.
Now that she's not getting any younger, Speckles wants to find "a new adventure."
Interested parties may contact the number on the theme park's website so that they will be given a tour. Potential buyers will get to see a fake volcano, aptly called Mt. St. Wilma, a giant brontosaurus slide and the Flintstones gang like Fred, Wilma, Betty and Barney. The park also contains a 3,800-square-foot staff house.
