Gamers still stuck on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 will still be able to play the latest "Call of Duty" game. "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" will be coming to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 as well as next-generation consoles Xbox One and PlayStation 4, PC Mag reports.

"'Call of Duty: Black Ops 3' has been designed to harness the full potential of the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC," Activision's Scott Lowe wrote in a blog post. "However, we know that there are still some fans that haven't made the transition to the new console hardware."

"Call of Duty's" publisher Activision is working with developers Beenox and Mercenary Technology on the Xbox 360 and PS3 version of "Black Ops 3." The last-gen version of the game will still include campaign, multiplayer and zombies mode, but there will be differences between the next-gen version of the game and the last-gen version.

"For instance, the campaign mode on Xbox 360 and PS3 is currently in development with a goal of enabling two-player cooperative play, instead of the four-player cooperative campaign on next-gen," Lowe wrote. "There will also be some other features and functionality built specifically for the new generation of consoles that cannot be supported on Xbox 360 and PS3."

Activision said it does not plan to release "Black Ops 3" for Wii U.

Activision plans to release a beta of the multiplayer modes for the next-gen consoles, but did not release a date for that beta. Activision plans to release more details on the game, including its differences from one version to the next, in the coming weeks and months. Next week, some details on "Black Ops 3" should be detailed at E3.

"Black Ops 3" is scheduled for a Nov. 6 release. The game will be set in the future and use lots of technology.

Making a special appearance in "Black Ops 3" will be NFL runningback Marshawn Lynch, according to ESPN.
