The biggest soccer tournament in South American history is here at last. The 2015 Copa America provides soccer fans with a must watch 12-team competition, this year in Chile. Mexico and Bolivia will face one another in a Group A game on Friday night.

Let's break down the teams and pick a winner.

Mexico (19)

Mexico is primarily a CONCACAF team, but they have participated in numerous Copa America tournaments in the past dating back to 1993. Mexico has never won this event, but they have placed second, when they lost to Argentina in the final in 1993. Mexico has also placed third in three separate occasions.

Mexico may be the No. 19 ranked squad in the world, but they won't have many of their best players on the field on Friday. Head coach Miguel Herrera has chosen to rest players such as Javier Hernandez, Giovani dos Santos, Andrés Guardado, Francisco Javier Rodríguez and even goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa for the upcoming Gold Cup.

The 2015 Gold Cup begins July 7.

As for the current Mexican roster, José de Jesús Corona is getting the start in net. Rafael Márquez leads the defensive unit alongside Juan Carlos Valenzuela. Without Hernandez leading the attack, Raul Jimenez of Atletico Madrid has to find a way to get the ball in the net. Mexico doesn't have a very strong middle field at the moment, so their defense will have to step it up.

Bolivia (89)

The Bolivian National Team ranks No. 89 in the world, and No. 10 in the CONMEBOL confederation. Bolivia is the highest ranked team in this year's tournament, and a championship victory this year would be an all-time great upset by them.

Bolivia won the 1963 Copa America when they defeated Paraguay at home, and even placed second in 1997 to Brazil. This year Bolivia is in Group A where they will have to face Mexico, Ecuador and Chile. Mexico is an interesting matchup for Bolivia because we rarely see these teams go at it.

Bolivia is 1-9 all-time against Mexico, however that one victory came at the 1997 Copa America. This will be just the third time these two nations face off in this tournament, as they tied one another at the 1993 Copa America.

Hugo Suárez will get the start in goal while team captain Ronald Raldes leads the defensive unit. Similar to Mexico, Bolivia doesn't have a very strong middle field. Marcelo Martins Moreno is the best forward that Bolivia will have on the field.

Schedule, Where to Watch

Mexico and Bolivia will play each other on Friday, June 12 at 7:30 p.m. EST at the Estadio Sausalito in Viña del Mar, Chile. The game will be shown on the beIN Sports Network. You can watch a live game stream here.

Prediction

Neither one of these teams have an elite offense. Mexico doesn't have many of their best players, but they should be able to contain Bolivia from scoring too many goals. Mexico should win a close low scoring game.

Mexico wins 2-1
