Comic books fans will rejoice to know that one of their most-beloved comics will be in the hand of great actors. "Doctor Strange" is being adapted for the big screen and Oscar nominee Chiwetel Ejiofor has been tapped to play Baron Mordo, according to an article on Deadline.

Ejiofor's Mordo is considered the villain of the film, and he will be featured alongside "Sherlock" star Benedict Cumberbatch, who will portray the title character.

Mordo has long been the enemy in the comic book versions of "Doctor Strange," but according to Deadline, viewers should not expect him take on a purely villainous role. Mordo is rather a union of "Strange's" common enemies that are inherent to the series.

Daily Mail reports Tilda Swinton will likely be portraying the role of "The Ancient One," which means that the cast is quickly filling up with a host of British actors.

Deadline adds the role of The Ancient One has been gender swapped as well, with the part initially attributed to that of a Tibetan man. That has been an increasing trend with Hollywood movies as of late, with recent news of Chris Hemsworth playing the role of secretary, originally made famous by Annie Potts, on the upcoming "Ghostbusters" sequel featuring an all-female headlining cast.

Marvel has been quite adept to doing this in its Cinematic Universe as of lately.

The Ancient One was also a one-time mentor to both Strange and Mordo, but Mordo also tried to kill their master.

Doctor Strange is Stephen Strange, a gifted neurosurgeon who realizes after a car accident that his hands are not the key to his excelled gift. But he also discovers a hidden world of magic and sorcery via alternate dimensions that opens up the plots and themes inherent to the comic book universe it originally existed in.

Disney has announced the film is slated for release on Nov. 4, 2016.
