Season 11 of "Supernatural" on The CW has already begun to flesh out, and it is really starting to take shape.

The filming process usually gets started fairly early in the summer, and the show's co-executive producer, Jim Michaels, has announced via his Twitter account that eight episodes have already been written.

This news comes just ahead of series stars Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki San Diego Comic Con appearance, which is always a big draw for fans. Michaels also disclosed in another tweet that the episodes are in the process of shooting before they go on a short hiatus for the SDCC event.

SDCC usually places the "Supernatural" panel on the final day of the event. This year, the conference will take place on July 9 - 12.

Fans have hypothesized that this season will be the one where they finally free Adam from the Lucifer's cage in hell. But fans can count that storyline out, at least for now.

Michaels announced in another tweet that Adam's release is not imminent, and he is not seeing it happening anytime soon.

Padalecki also spoke with Us Magazine about his recent hiatus and what he needed to get refreshed for filming season 11.

"I was 17 years old when I moved to Los Angeles, and I just kind of got into a habit. ... Everything was like, work, work, work, work, do, do, do, do," said Padalecki, a married father of two. "And the last summer, my life has changed a lot. I have a wife. I have two sons, [Shepherd and Thomas], and so I really needed a chance to just unplug. And it was the best thing I've ever done. I'll probably do it every year."
