Bobbi Kristina Brown was planning to break up with troubled boyfriend Nick Gordon on the day she was found face down and unresponsive in the bathtub of the Georgia home they shared.

That startling accusation comes from Ian Halperin, author of the new book "Whitney & Bobbi Kristina: The Deadly Price of Fame," who also told The Wrap he has "1,000 percent proof" of his claims validity.

Halperin added that the only daughter born to Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown also planned to end her engagement to Gordon and kick him out of their Roswell home.

According to Halperin, the 22-year-old Brown was struggling mightily in the days leading up to her being rushed to a local hospital on Jan. 31 unconscious. Over that time, it's reported Gordon suspected her of having an affair with a drug dealer, and more and more, she was finding he "did a lot of things that she didn't approve of."

Halperin further alleges Brown had grown afraid of her boyfriend, not to mention weary of the way he always seemed to "spooning" off her financially.

"She wanted out of the relationship," he added, noting that she was contemplating a move to Los Angeles as a way of getting a fresh start.

Bobbi Kristina remains unresponsive and has largely been in a medically induced coma ever since being rushed to the emergency room. She has now been moved to a long term rehab facility.

Throughout the entire ordeal, Gordon has maintained his innocence and soon after Brown was hospitalized checked himself into a drug treatment center. Since she's been under care, Brown's family has prohibited Gordon from being able to visit her.

According to The Wrap, Halperin has now offered to pay for Gordon to take a polygraph test about the things that happened in the home on the day in question, promising to arrange for him to be able to visit Brown if he passes.

Meanwhile, TMZ recently reported police have launched a criminal investigation into the Brown's condition after doctors discovered several other unexplained bruises on her body. Reportedly, the probe targets Gordon as a primary suspect.
