Powerball Numbers & Results June 13, 2015: Watch Live Stream Of Drawing For $60 Million Jackpot
Saturday’s Powerball is here. And since no one won last Wednesday (when the winning numbers were: 31, 32, 48, 49, 53, and 25) all that money has rolled over and is now at $60 Million with a $37 Million cash value.
There were 343,968 regular winners and $5,165,363 in non jackpot money was won.
There are nine ways to win at Powerball, with a 1 in 175,223,510.00 chance in winning the grand prize and a 1 in 5,153,632.65 of winning $1,000,000.
So the chances of winning are slim, but people actually do win, sometimes a whole group of them at once.
In Charlotte, North Carolina, a group of coworkers at the Carpet Discount Warehouse that had been playing together every week for nearly two years have just won big time.
As reported by NBC affiliate WCNC, the owner of the carpet warehouse, Charlie Rush, the man who with his son Kirk had been in charge of collecting the lottery money, credits winning $1 million to some lottery playing advice he had received years back from his father who had been a gambler during the Great Depression.
Talking about the day he found out he and his fellow players were winners, Kirk said that when he looked at the computer and saw that he had a winning ticket, he was sure his wife must have thought he was having a heart attack.
Each of the players will receive $69,250.06 after taxes.
And this is not the end for Charlie’s lottery playing. The man with the plan said, "I'll hit three times I told them I would hit three times when I started this thing. I hit $10,000 the first one, that was the baby one, then the $1-million is the middle one, then the next one is the big one."
