Kristen Stewart's mom says that her daughter is bisexual and dating personal assistant Alicia Cargile, reports the Sunday Mirror.

Jules Stewart, 55, confirmed what many fans have suspected since photos of the "Snow White and the Huntsman" star and Cargile began to appear in recent weeks.

When asked by the Mirror how she felt about Kristen's bisexuality, Jules said she had no problem with it.

"What's not to be accepting about her now having a girlfriend? She's happy. She's my daughter, I'm just her mom so she knows I would accept her choices," she said.

Jules hinted that the relationship between Kristen, 25, and Cargile is getting serious. She has met Cargile and likes her.

"I've met Kristen's new girlfriend, I like her. What's not to accept? She's a lovely girl," she said.

Kristen's mother, who is a Hollywood script supervisor, believes that people need to be free to love who they want to.

"I accept my daughter loves women and men. It's OK to be who you are in my world. We all choose our friends so we should be free to choose our lovers," she said. "People are good to do whatever they like as long as they're not hurting people or breaking the law."

Jules also has insight on "Twilight" fans favorite couple: Kristen and Robert Pattinson, 29. She said she's "sad" her daughter's relationship with Pattinson played out the way that it did, but she believes 25 is too young to get married.

"They were a great couple, but she's 25 years old and I'd like to see her have a lot more life experience before she chooses someone to settle down with," she said.

Jules put to rest rumors that Pattinson and Kristen are on bad terms. They are friends; however, she will not meet his bride-to-be FKA twigs at their upcoming wedding ceremony as she was not invited, as many tabloids have reported.
