"The Bachelor" star Chris Soules and ex-fiancée Whitney Bischoff sadly entered the pool of the many other former Bachelor couples who did not make it.

Soules opened up about the split for the first time in an interview with The Dan Patrick Show making it clear that there is no bad blood between them, Buddy TV reports.

"Well there really is not much to say. I mean it was a relationship. She's a great person and she'll be a friend for the rest of my life and I'll always care about her," he said. "Just didn't work out. It was two people that were mature and went into a weird situation, came out, tried to make it work."

The former Bachelor blames being on the TV show for pressuring the couple into engagement.

"They don't pressure you to do it [get engaged]. I think the whole experience itself lends itself to like making you feel like you want to do that. And in the end of course there's the final rose and, you know, it's a really weird experience and it's hard to explain unless you've been through it," he said.

The couple tried to work things out by ignoring the negative remarks about their relationship not working out, as many other couples in that situation face. Bischoff even moved to Soules' farm.

"We tried to make it work. We tried to figure things out in the real world," Soules said. "It's much different in the real world than it is on TV, you know, on a television show. You kind of get the opportunity to, you know, actually experience real life together."

Meanwhile, the former Bachelor looks happy right now, People notes.

He shared a shirtless photo of himself in New York City showing the world how he has been keeping busy since the breakup. Soules was also spotted at a night club with friends.
