The Season 6 finale of "The Good Wife" ended with several twists that will have a major impact on Season 7.

Archie Panjabi's beloved character Kalinda made an official departure, while Alicia Florrick was pushed out from the law firm that she helped create. As a result, it is likely that Alicia will start a new law firm. This, however, could turn Alicia and Cary into enemies next season.

During a recent interview with E! News actor Matt Czuchry admitted that he does not know much about the upcoming season, but he speculated how the finale will affect his character's relationship with Alicia. He also confessed that he is hoping for some juicy stuff to occur between the former frenemies-turned-friends.

"I think what could be interesting is if they're on opposite sides, but they're in a different place in terms of their connection," he said. "They are friends and I think there's a mutual respect there, so if they are against each other but have that friendship at the same time, those gray areas, to be able to play that, would be interesting."

During an interview with HuffPost Live, Czuchry also teased that Kalinda's exit will leave a lasting impact throughout Season 7, since she left without giving her former colleagues and boyfriend closure.

"Cary and Kalinda have had a strong friendship over 100-plus episodes, so that lack of closure is going to come into play in Season 7," said Czuchry, who plays Cary on the show. "It would be interesting to see Cary with somebody else. Oftentimes we jump in relationships too soon after getting out of them, and it'd be interesting to see him to muddle through another relationship because he didn't get closure with Kalinda."

The show is scheduled to return to CBS on Oct. 4.
