Us Weekly reported earlier this week that Culpo and Jonas had split after two years of dating.
According to Us Weekly, the now split pair had been rocky for some time, but the doors aren't completely closed on their relationship as Us notes, "The two aren't sure the breakup will last."
Though neither Culpo or Jonas has spoken publicly about the reason why they split, People notes that Jonas once said that being in a long distance relationship with Culpo was tough.
"I think that the long-distance thing can be tough, but ... try to stay in communication, keep it transparent and honest, and it should be okay," Jonas told People before the split.
E! News reports that Culpo and Jonas began dating in the summer of 2013 and in 2014 they became very serious. Jonas even confirmed in September 2014 that he had removed his purity ring while in a relationship with Culpo.
Jonas also wrote his current hit song "Jealous" about Culpo and sang to her on one knee during his performance at the 2014 Miss Universe pageant.
"I went down and sang to her and I go on a knee and approached her," Jonas told the U.K. newspaper The Sun at the time. "Her face was in full panic, she thought I was going to propose on national TV in front of one billion people."
