Most activity trackers are designed to keep users active while providing extra features, such as text alerts or the news. The Huawei Talkband B2 is both an activity tracker and a Bluetooth headset in one device, according to CNET. 

The Huawei Talkband B2 is an activity tracker that is worn on the wrist to provide activity tracking similar to other devices on the market. It also offers a detachable Bluetooth headset that turns the device into a hands-free phone.

Much like other activity trackers, the Huawei Talkband B2 measures steps taken, calories burned and sleep. It also has a vibration feature that can be used as an alarm or to alert the user that they need to get up and move around.

To activate the TalkBand, users can twist their wrist. This feature is similar to the way the screen can be activated on the Apple Watch. However, the feature is not very reliable, often turning on when the user does not ask for it to or failing to turn on when a user twists their wrist. An alternative way to activate the device is by pressing the button on the side of the TalkBand.

When the screen is powered on, users will see the Bluetooth status, a battery icon and the time and date. One swipe down on the screen will show the amount of steps taken that day. A second swipe down will display the calories burned that day. Swipe again and the amount of sleep from the previous night is shown. A final swipe will activate the device's stopwatch.

The strap on the TalkBand is awfully bulky. It is less comfortable and flexible than similar devices from Jawbone and Fitbit.

Another disadvantage of the TalkBand is its locking system to keep the device on a user's wrist. Instead of using two pegs to secure the device to the wrist, the TalkBand uses just one, making it easy for the device to fall off.

Huawei says the TalkBand will receive up to five to six days of normal usage. Using the Bluetooth as a hands-free phone will decrease the battery life. The TalkBand can be charged using a standard microUSB plug.

The TalkBand uses the Huawei Wear app for Android and iOS. This app will reveal more detailed information about a user's activity.
