Cristiano Ronaldo Transfer to Manchester United: Superstar is Upset With Team's Handling of Ramos, Casillas Situations
Cristiano Ronaldo and Real Madrid have often had a contentious relationship. However, it seems that the team often finds a way to please him.
His contract issues led to one famous incident in which he claimed to be "sad." He was promptly given a new contract to improve the situation.
Now, it seems that he is back to having a contentious relationship with the club, according to AS.
Ronaldo is reportedly upset with the team's recent behavior toward him and the source cites the treatment of Sergio Ramos and Iker Casillas amongst the reasons he is annoyed with Madrid. Ronaldo is also upset that the team showed him no backing after the press ridiculed him for having a birthday celebration after a humiliating 4-0 loss against Atletico Madrid. He is also upset that the news is claiming that he will be changing positions despite having not been consulted on the decision. He is also annoyed that Rafa Benitez sought out Gareth Bale but never went to meet him after being brought in by the club.
This could get very ugly quickly if not dealt with properly. Real Madrid has created a difficult situation with Ramos and Casillas and both legends could be leaving the club this summer. Casillas' departure is expected, but losing Ramos could be disastrous.
Real Madrid also dumped Angel Di Maria under controversial circumstances and the subsequent departure of Xabi Alonso left many fans with sour tastes. Throw in the handling of Diego Lopez's departure and the team's recent run of failure and mediocrity (La Decima withstanding) and it is clear that Madrid is not the ideal place to be at the moment.
Ronaldo will undoubtedly be subject to more transfer rumors after this report and that could create even more trouble in the Real Madrid camp.
