WWE Battleground 2015: The Miz, Ryback & Big Show Triple Threat Match for Intercontinental Title Sealed
The upcoming WWE Battleground 2015 just got more exciting. It has been confirmed that the pay-per-view will feature a Triple Threat Match with defending Intercontinental Champion Ryback, Big Show and The Miz for a chance to take home the belt.
Recent events at the WWE seemed to lead to the match that would see the trio do their best to outdo each other and be crowned the next Intercontinental champion.
In the recent Money In The Bank event, the Big Show went against Ryback for a shot at the Intercontinental title. But before the two could hit it out in the ring, The Miz surprised everyone and came out to join the commentators of the match, noted Fansided.
Ryback was determined to defend his belt from the Big Show and did not skimp on giving the World's Largest Athlete a spine-busting throw followed with a meathook. But the Big Show was able to regain his footing and attacked the champion, noted WWE.
The upper hand in the match switched from the Big Show to Ryback in a matter of seconds. But that was not for long as the the Big Show gave a punch that knocked Ryback out of the ring. Just as the Big Show was done placing the wrestler back in the ring and about to pin him down, The Miz had to get involved.
He attacked Big Show that prompted the referee to call for the bell. The World's Largest Athlete won by disqualification but the belt remained with Ryback.
The bad blood between The Miz and Big Show did not end there. The "A-lister" won in a count-out at their Monday Night RAW fight as Big Show confronted The Human Wrecking Ball watching in the sidelines, reported WWE.
The loss only added to the Big Show's frustration and it can be a potential motivation that can propel him to win back the Intercontinental belt at Battleground 2015 once again.
On the other hand, Ryback could take advantage of The Miz distracting the World's Largest Athlete in their Triple Threat Match to keep his belt intact.
However the story unfolds, it seems that the storyline will be a good build up for whatever WWE hopes to achieve in time for the WWE Summer Slam event.
Meanwhile, Seth Rollins will face Brock Lesnar to defend his WWE World Heavyweight Championship title in the same event.
WWE Battleground 2015 will be on July 19 live at the WWE Network.
