Bobbi Kristina Brown News Update: Bobby Brown Not in Support of Cousin Jerod Brown's Fundraising Campaign
Bobbi Kristina Brown's cousin insists he plans to continue his global fundraising efforts to help pay off some of her mounting medical bills, even though her father Bobby Brown has publicly stated he is not in support of the campaign.
"My sweet, kind-spoken cousin has a heart of gold, & to know her is truly to love her," Jerod Brown recently posted on Facebook about his 22-year-old cousin. "My relationship with Krissi only fuels me to continue to hold out hope that she will come all the way back to us. My efforts to help without ceasing will remain genuine & anyone with a willing heart to pray a prayer of healing for BK, please do."
The only daughter born to Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston has remained comatose and largely unresponsive since being found face down in the bath tub of the Georgia home she shared with boyfriend Nick Gordon on Jan. 31.
In mid-March, family members moved her to a long-term rehab facility, where she now receives around the clock treatment for a condition grandmother Cissy Houston recently described as "irreversible."
No matter what, Jerrod Brown indicated he's not willing to give up.
"May my uncle Bobby continue to be the man I've always known him to be and may we all pray for him to be strong during the time of his crisis," he said. "However, I am not (by no means) looking for my Uncle Bobby's support or permission to continue the #PrayForBK Campaign or am I asking for his blessing."
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution recently reported a local judge installed Bobby Brown and Aunt Pat Houston as Bobbi Kristina's legal co-guardians, putting them in charge of making all decisions about her health and medical well-being.
"Right now we are focused on Bobbi Kristina's medical prognosis and the criminal investigation," Bobby added in a recent statement released by his attorneys. "These are the priorities for us. Whoever had a hand in causing my daughter's injuries needs to be brought to justice."
