Selena Gomez and Jennifer Aniston are quickly emerging as two of the celebrity world's closest pals.

Entertainment Tonight reports 22-year-old Gomez recently referred to the former "Friends" star in the most glowing of terms during a KTU radio interview with Carolina Bermudez.

"She's amazing," Gomez said, prompting Bermudez to inquire as to just how close they've suddenly become.

The way Gomez recalls it is the two met through the management team they share and before she knew it they were sharing pizza cooked in Aniston's home-based pizza oven.

"Like, we've made pizzas at her house," Gomez added. "She's very cool and very sweet. She kind of gives me a lot of, like, maternal advice."

In December 2014, Gomez instantly took to Instagram to share news of a chance encounter the two had at a party in Los Angeles.

"I have not only been following her career as a fan since I was 8 and now get to watch her completely transform in her new movie 'Cake,' I have gotten to have real conversations with such a real heart, made my entire year," she wrote.

Since then, Gomez had readily identified 46-year-old Aniston as one of her idols and has seemingly never stopped talking about the encounter.

"I ran into Jennifer in the bathroom and she goes, 'Hi!' My legs started to shake and I ran," she told Just Jared. "I didn't know what to do because I freaked out. I always say that I worship Rachel McAdams as a movie actress but for comedy -- the whole reason I started my show and mannerisms, they were after Jennifer Aniston."

And now, Gomez's days of losing her cool around her seem a thing of the past, as it seems the two are becoming closer friends.
