Do you play "Candy Crush?"

Well, if you do and then see "Magic Mike XXL," you will have a whole new type of "candy crush" when sexy heartthrob Adam Rodriguez takes you to the candy shop during his hot routine during the steamy second installment of "Magic Mike," which hits theaters on July 1.

"Can I take you to the candy shop girl, and hit that spot?" asked Rodriguez in a Latin Post exclusive interview -- and yes there was a lot of blushing going on, no doubt! Let's just say after seeing the film, you might not look at a lollipop the same way again!

Rodriguez, who plays "Latin sensation Tito," brings a whole lot of sugar to "Magic Mike XXL" with his killer bod, sexy smile and lollipops and frozen yogurt (aka "Fro-yo Body") during his hot dance routine.

"It's a good time! It's just a party! I don't know how else to describe it. You can't not have a good time when you go and watch this movie," he added. "We took it there and had as much fun as possible and pushed the limits of sexiness as far as possible."

Going into a candy shop after doing the movie brings a chuckle to the hunky actor.

"Well, it depends on what kind of candy shop..." he laughed.

While Rodriguez can indeed shake his hips, he commended the choreographers who helped bring more magic to "Magic Mike XXL."

"They're so incredible. What they are great at was designing movements that may push you a little bit, but that they know you will be able to pull off and look great," he explained. "They really designed that routine (that was staged like a candy shop). I had one move there and everything else just was their genius."

Rodriguez, who strutted his stuff on stage in various outfits, including a thong, also served up frozen yogurt and sprayed whip cream on a few lucky ladies from the audience.

"It's part of the gig -- there's no getting round the thong!" he laughed. "Unfortunately, or fortunately depending on who you ask!"

The Latin hunk likes to stay in shape, but he admits that sometimes he gets "lazy for a few months." However, by looking at him, you would have no idea that was the case. With one and a half hours to two hours of dance rehearsals for six to eight weeks and three hours at the gym everyday between cardio and weights and a healthy diet, Rodriguez was raring to go.

"This time around it was more intense. The movie is 'XXL' so I wanted everything to be bigger and better," he said when referring to his workout regimen. "Since the first movie I had kept up with the gym more than I had ever before in my life. I was able to look better than I did the first time and to dance better and to push it to the next level and to live up to the name of the movie, 'XXL.'"

What should fans expect this time around?

"It completely shifted genre. We went from an obscure expose in the first movie about the darkness about this world and kind of why it's an ugly world and then all of a sudden we moved into comedy and explored why these friendships are the way they are and why these guys actually enjoy living his life that they're living as male strippers," he explained.

While being a male stripper isn't easy or what Rodriguez aspires to do, he says he wouldn't rule it out if things got tough and he lost his day job.

"If I left my day job, I would have to consider this as an option, but with that said I am hoping that I will never have to lose my day job!" he laughed.

"Magic Mike XXL" reunites Rodriguez with Channing Tatum, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, Kevin Nash and Gabriel Iglesias, the stars of the 2012 worldwide hit "Magic Mike."

The story line picks up three years after Mike gave up his life of stripping at a time when he was on fire in the industry. "Magic Mike XXL" finds the remaining Kings of Tampa also ready to turn in their thongs for a normal lifestyle.

They won't go down without some laughs, killer moves, and good times on the road with stops in Jacksonville and Savannah as they make their way down to Myrtle Beach for one last major gig, alongside the top headliner Magic Mike.

Joining the returning cast, in brand new roles, are Amber Heard ("The Rum Diary"), Donald Glover ("Community"), Stephen 'tWitch' Boss ("Step Up Revolution") and Michael Strahan ("Live with Kelly and Michael"), with Andie MacDowell ("Footloose"), Elizabeth Banks ("The Hunger Games" franchise) and Jada Pinkett Smith ("Gotham").

Rodriguez is best known for his role as Eric Delko on the CBS crime drama "CSI: Miami," for which he won an Alma Award in 2011. He also starred in Tyler Perry's "I Can Do Bad All By Myself," for which he won the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture, and "About Last Night" alongside Michael Ealy and Paula Patton.

The New York native also starred in the final season of ABC's "Ugly Betty" and has been featured in Jennifer Lopez's breakthrough video, "If You Had My Love." He is currently recurring on NBC's "The Night Shift" and will be starring on "Empire" alongside Taraji P. Henson who plays Cookie.
