The Islamic terrorist group ISIS which also goes by ISIL, is allegedly responsible for carrying out three separate attacks in three different countries today.

In Tunisia, gunmen killed at least 37 people at a beachfront hotel. According to CNN, Tunisia's health ministry reported the deaths -- along with 36 injuries which happened in and around the Hotel Riu Imperial Marhaba -- in the city of Sousse.

In Kuwait, a bomb blast went off in a Shiite-affiliated Al-Sadiq mosque in the capital city during Friday prayers. The attack ended up killing 25 people and injuring more than 200 people.

Meanwhile in France one person was beheaded and two were injured at a gas factory near Lyon in southeastern France. In a televised address given from a summit in Brussels, Belgium, French President François Hollande described the act as a "pure terrorist attack." Hollande, announcing that a body had been found as well as a severed head and a message, said that a suspect has already been arrested and has been identified.

In response to the these three attacks Spain raised its terror alert (which uses a 1-5 scale in determining threat level) to 4.

British Prime Minister David Cameron addressed the attacks on social media. "I am sickened by the attacks in Tunisia, France and Kuwait," Cameron wrote via Twitter. "Our countries stand together in combating the horrors of terrorism."

The U.S. State Department also released a statement condeming the attacks, calling them "horrifying."

"We express our deepest sympathy to the victims' families and our heartfelt wishes for the recovery of those injured," the statement said. "We will continue to work with all of our allies and partners to address the shared threat of terrorism and violent extremism and to degrade and destroy the ability of these terrorist groups to carry out their callous attacks on innocent people." 

Three days ago Abu Muhammad al-Adnani, the chief propagandist for Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) had made promises of rewards for anyone who carried out a deadly attack during the holy month of Ramadan.

As reported in the Telegraph, Adnani, who released his message as an audio tape, instructed his followers to, "be keen to conquer in this holy month and to become exposed to martyrdom.”
