"The Good Wife" actor Matt Czuchry recently opened up about his role as Cary Agos, his character's arc and Alicia and Kalinda's final scene together on the show.

During an interview with TheWrap, Czuchry talked about the challenges he faced last season while playing the cutthroat litigator, who was put in prison and struggled with the burden of an impending trial.

"If I wanted that arc to be believable to the audience, it's not like I could finish shooting a scene and then go up to my trailer and make calls or answer emails," said the series star. "That was incredibly taxing. But the audience seemed to connect with it and that brought me a lot of satisfaction."

On the other hand Czuchry said one of the most rewarding things about Season 6 was the feeling of satisfaction after a hard day of work.

"The fun was in the challenge of coming home from an exhausting day and feeling like you made these incredibly complex imaginary situations come to life. In addition to that, there's a scene where my character gets his hand sliced as a test of loyalty to the biggest drug dealer in Chicago. It was fun making that scene come to life with all the special effects. The plastic tube holding all the fake blood exploded and huge amounts of blood squirted all over the crew. So that was a pretty damn fun day," he said.

Czuchry went on to describe the CBS drama as a show with a lot of "gray areas."

"Our show shines in gray areas," he said. "Moral gray areas, legal gray areas, even family issues on the show deal with gray areas. These are real-life, difficult situations we all face as individuals. 'The Good Wife' is complex and nuanced because of those gray areas."

However, the actor shied away from discussing the last scene that Julianna Margulies and Archie Panjabi shared during the Season 6 finale. When asked to confirm speculation that the two actresses did not film their final scene together in the same room because they did not get along, he replied saying: "That's a question for the producers. That's how I'll answer that."

According to Christian Today, Season 7 of "The Good Wife" will kickoff on Sunday, Oct. 4, at 9 p.m. on NBC.
