Chris Brown, Rihanna Come Face to Face at BET Awards, 'Loyal' Singer and Karrueche Keep Their Distance
Chris Brown, Rihanna and Karrueche Tran were all under the same roof for the BET Awards Sunday night in Los Angeles.
The New York Daily News reported Rihanna made nice, rocking out and singing along to Brown's performance of his hit "Ayo." In fact, Hollywood Life reported the two actually came face to face backstage during his rehearsal session, and his ex-girlfriend graciously offered him some words of encouragement heading into his big performance.
The best Brown and Karrueche could manage was making certain to avoid one another's space. Sporting a new blond hairdo, Tran made it a point to steer clear of the "Loyal" crooner and a source later told Hollywood Life she was overheard telling friends, "I don't want to see his *ss."
That seemed fine by Brown, who is also rumored to have spent much of his night going in any direction he thought his ex might not be.
Brown and Tran seemingly ended their on-again, off-again relationship for good recently after it became public knowledge that he had fathered a child while they were still dating.
Still, the two may not have been the most uncomfortable, one-time couple in the crowd.
Exes Tyga and Blac Chyna were also in the house, and, like Brown and Tran, they kept their distance for the sake of peace.
Since their breakup, Chyna has waged social media warfare with his rumored new flame, 17-year-old Kylie Jenner, often putting Tyga squarely in the middle of all their drama.
Singer Ciara also had to endure the uneasiness of being in the same room as her former fiancé and father of her young child, Future. Only, she didn't seem to mind nearly as much as any of the others, arriving at the event with new boyfriend and Seattle Seahawks star quarterback Russell Wilson.
