Lara Croft is almost within the grasp of fans worldwide as 'Tomb Raider' Definitive Edition nears its much awaited release date. However, a recent gameplay by GamesRadar proves that the PS4 seems to be doing more justice to the action-adventure game than the Xbox One.

The GamesRadar video, which also had 'Tomb Raider' executive producer Scot Amos, notes that at some point, 'Tomb Raider' Definitive Edition was running at 60 frames per second at 1080p on the PS4.

According to a report by CVG, game publisher Square Enix initially developed the Definitive Edition of the Lara Croft game to run at half the reported 60fps at 1080p on both the PS4 and the Xbox One.

"Delivering the core Tomb Raider gameplay at native 1080p and running at 30fps was always our primary goal," Square Enix told CVG.

The company also added, "Anything beyond 30fps for this version is gravy. Both platforms offer the same outstanding Tomb Raider experience."

'Tomb Raider' Definitive Edition is not the first title that gamers claim to be running at higher frame rates and resolution, says CVG. 'Call of Duty: Ghosts' has also been reported as a better play on the Sony game console.

The next gen game console-specific version of 'Tomb Raider' is slated to release January 28 in the US. The title is priced at $59.99 and is available for pre-order on Amazon and GameStop.

Fans of the game who pre-order the title can choose between the "Standard Edition" and the "Art Book Packaging Edition." The Art Book Packaging Edition, according to Amazon, provides "an insider's look at exclusive, never before seen concept art."

PS4 and Xbox One gamers can expect "an all new Lara model created to take advantage of the power of next-gen consoles, native 1080p gameplay, reworked lighting, and more" with 'Tomb Raider' Definitive Edition, says IGN.
