If you are one of the many Apple iPhone users who has recently suffered from or encountered the iOS 7's white or black screen of death, then you may be interested to hear the good news -- a fix will finally be on its way.

Apple confirmed that a glitch, which is responsible for the screen of death, will finally be addressed in a future iOS 7 update. Apple spokesperson Trudy Muller said "We have a fix in an upcoming software update for a bug that can occasionally cause a home screen crash."

The problem causes phones to randomly shut down and reset without any apparent reason. Although Apple has already tried to fix the problem with numerous previous updates, iPhone users continue to report the issue, forcing Apple to explicitly say it will fix it for good in the future iOS 7 software update.

An Apple spokesperson recently made the statement, one news site reports: "The problem has been reported by users across the rank and file of the Apple diaspora. The bug causes random reboots of the screen, and depending on the colour of the iPhone, the home screen crashes and goes either white or goes completely black. iPhones running the iOS version 7 are susceptible to the crashes. Some phones have been reported to be affected if the battery percentage falls below 30."

Initially, a few reports began to appear on Apple's discussion forum under headings such as "iPhone with iOS 7 randomly shuts off" in early September shoftly after the latest version had been launched. Consequently, the issue has appeared on various social media channels such as Twitter and Facebook.

Apple is testing iOS 7.1, which is rumoured to be released in March and will fix the crashing issue. A recent survey even found that a large majority of iPhone users now use iOS 7.
