The newest addition to the Marvel Cinematic Hero Universe, Paul Rudd, has been on the campaign trail lately, promoting his upcoming release of "Ant Man." Rudd stars in the film as the title character and even shows off his action chops opposite to Michael Douglas.

During an interview with Erin Robinson, the actor stole the show, namely with his on-camera farts, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

So why did this happen? Well, it was what he discovered about his chair that put the Hollywood A-lister into total adolescence mode. He wasn't actually farting, it was the leather in the chair that was responding to his various movements, no matter how small they were. Rudd played off it gloriously too with perfect timing for making the sounds, which kept Robinson laughing throughout the interview and barely able to get her questions in.

"What types of things do you do in your suit that nobody knows about?" Robinson asked during the interview.

"I just do the same stuff that everybody else does," Rudd said smirking while comically making the sounds of flatulence in his chair. "I'm going to see if we can do this whole interview with you even getting out one question."

"I've never been tooted on in an interview before," Robinson said while giggling in the interview.

The Marvel star really injected the humor into the interview that would have otherwise been full of questions that only related to the movie. But when asked specific questions, he pulled off the sound effects quite well with expertly timed responses and movements.

According to Entertainment Tonight, fans of the movie might also like to know that Rudd has recently been spending time with his Marvel cousins over on the set of the new "Captain America 3" movie.

"Ant Man" releases in theaters everywhere on July 17.
