The upcoming reboot of the gender-swapped "Ghostbusters" movie has been progressing nicely with recent developments that include the new bad guy and a picture of the car the Lady Ghostbusters are going to be driving.

In a tweet on Tuesday, film director Paul Feig posted a photo of the "Ecto-1" to fans across the nation and the world.

The car is definitely a throwback to the original movie, but maybe a little updated -- slightly. The original, as reported by Deadline, was a 1959 Caddy ambulance that was even outdated for the time-period, by about 25 years.

This one follows the same concept, but it is more reminiscent of a 1984 funeral car that has been tricked out with all the bells and whistles the first one had, including the siren and the front license plate that says "Ecto-1." It also features the trademark logo for the film.

Coincidentally, the new car was produced the same year the original "Ghostbusters" came out in 1984. This 30-year span also jives with the nearly 25-year span the original car was dated at that time.

In another report by Deadline, the project has cast "SNL" writer Neil Casey in a role as the bad guy.

The film has already been well-known for its gender reversal theme, casting all four Ghostbusting characters as women and Chris Hemsworth in the Annie Potts secretary role, so it isn't too unrealistic to think that this role may be cast as the alter-ego that Sigourney Weaver played in the original when she was possessed by the demon Zuul. Or maybe even Slavitza Jovan, the lady that played the role of Gozer, the Sumerian God.

One thing that's for sure is the new "Ghostbusters" film has played on a lot of themes inherent to the original and even cast several "SNL" alum, much like the original leaned heavily on.

Anyone care to take a guess at who will fill the shoes of Rick Moranis or even the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man?
