One Direction Tours, Songs, and News Update 2014: 'Midnight Memories' is their Next Single, Harry Styles Kisses Mystery Woman in Music Video - Get a Sneak Peek! [PICS]
Liam Payne has recently confirmed that One Direction's title track off their third studio album, Midnight Memories, is their new single, and the British boyband gives fans a sneak peek from behind-the-scenes of their latest video shoot.
Payne made a special YouTube announcement regarding 1D's next single. "So, our next single is going to be 'Midnight Memories,' which is actually one of the songs that I wrote with Louis. So this is the first song we wrote on the album, so this paved the way for this whole album sounding, the way it all changed and stuff."
"It's a big, big tune. It's all about the midnight memories, everybody's got 'em. So, hope you enjoy it!" he added.
Just like how he said, the upcoming visual is all about creating One Direction's own midnight memories, while it shows their growing maturity as well. The members spend their night out over an energetic rock tune -- they hit a kebab store and munch on their late-night snack joined by a host of fans, enjoy their ride on five red scooters, and dance with a group of elderly revelers.
The boys continue their spontaneous adventure, as they are seen climbing aboard a police boat, where they sport lifejackets, before belting out their song while harnessed on top of Tower Bridge. Harry Styles shows off his dancing feet while Louis Tomlinson kisses a hand of a lucky old lady.
The album Midnight Memories, which was released in November 2013, made One Direction the first band ever to have their first three albums debut at No. 1 in the U.S. Billboard chart, while it also reached No. 1 in 30 other countries around the world. The successful album achieved the biggest pre-order in iTunes history, and it was the bestselling album of 2013 in the U.K., with the highest week one sales for three years. The impact day of One Direction's upcoming single is Mar. 9, and the accompanying video will be released on Friday.
