Fans all over the world have been chomping at the bit to get more peeks behind the curtain off the new "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" film that has already released two trailers for its upcoming December release. At Comic Con this year in San Diego, director J.J. Abrams did not have any new trailers to show. But he did have an awesome behind-the-scenes video for fans, according to Deadline.

This new footage is a rare glimpse into the "Star Wars" universe that George Lucas created back in the late '70s and has taken the world by storm with unprecedented success.

Since Lucas sold his company to Disney, they have been hard at work reviving the franchise for a new trilogy and also for some "solo" (pun intended) projects that are on the agenda. But instead of sequels, these extra solo projects have been billed rather as spinoffs.

In the actual upcoming sequel film, "The Force Awakens," new footage has been released by the entertainment giant, and the video is what most might call a rare glimpse into the making of a classic "Star Wars" film.

This is due in part to the fact that the series is finally returning to the people and places that made it so great in the beginning, which means the original trio of Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford are back. You even get to see them behind the scenes taking part in the new creation that will no doubt break some box office records later this year.

Abrams addressed a gigantic crowd this year at SDCC, and even though he did not have much to give them, he did present this gem of a video that allowed his fans to walk away satisfied and excited.
