Rapper Capo, a member of Chief Keef's Glo Gang, was killed in a Chicago drive-by shooting on Saturday, reports the Chicago Sun-Times.

The 22-year-old newly minted MMG signee was shot in the hip and back about 1:40 p.m. on July 11 in the city's South Side, according to police. He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where he died at 4:37 p.m.

The suspects, who fled the scene following the shooting, struck and killed with their car a 13-month-old boy named Dillan Harris seated in a stroller about three miles away, Chicago police officer Veejay Zala told the Daily News.

Capo's manager, Renaldo Hess, confirmed the up-and-coming star was killed in the shooting. He said the "Faneto" rapper had recently returned from a recording session in Los Angeles.

"He was a good kid," Hess said. "The streets of Chicago is something. He was murdered. I don't understand what is going on with all these kids."

Capo, whose real name was Marvin Carr, was a documented and known gang member, a police source said.

Authorities said an unidentified person who saw the shooting followed the suspects' car that eventually struck the stroller.

"He followed the car and called 911 and led police to it," Ald. Willie Cochran (20th) said. The alderman said the person was "connected to law enforcement" but wouldn't provide details. The crash happened in Cochran's ward.

Two suspects are in custody, according to authorities.

Once Chief Keef learned of Capo's murder, he wrote on Twitter late Saturday, "I Love u..... bigggglo I love u!!!!!!"

The next day, Keef announced he had founded the Stop the Violence Now Foundation. His spokesman said he'd appear from Los Angeles in a free hologram concert in Chicago on Friday, reports the Tribune. The rapper is asking that attendees to contribute money for the Harris family.

Chief Keef can't perform in person because of "outstanding warrants his legal team is addressing," according to the spokesman.

Other celebrities also expressed their condolences on social media.

"RIP youngbull," hip-hop star Meek Mill wrote on Twitter.

Fredo Santana wrote on Twitter on July 11, "My brother gone. Rip capo I love you bro."
