‘Heroes Reborn’ Releases New Trailer and Premiere Date
Comic-Con 2015 in San Diego has been a smash hit with fans of sci-fi, horror and comic book films and TV shows. That also included the upcoming NBC reboot of the fan-favorite show "Heroes Reborn," according to Entertainment Weekly.
The panel that appeared on Sunday, which was moderated by series original Greg Grunberg, had a lot to say about the show without giving too much away.
The panel featured the show creator, Tim Kring, as well as cast members Jack Coleman, Zachary Levi, Robbie Kay, Ryan Guzman, Gatlin Green, Henry Zebrowski, Judith Shekoni, Danika Yarosh, and Rya Kihlstedt. Jimmy Jean-Louis also came to the panel later in the event.
Coleman, Grunberg and Louis were from the original series and serve in some way as a mentor to the new cast, which will be portraying emerging heroes in the series where the world has forced their existence into hiding.
Masi Oka was not present at the panel, but pre-recorded a video message that fans greeted with much applause. At the end of the video, Oka appeared to be attempting to teleport away and suddenly appeared in Hall H at the world famous event.
Suffice it to say, fans were thoroughly intrigued by the stunt.
"I thought it was awesome," Oka told the audience about the show's return. "It had [a lot of] heart and we had a lot of fans and we kind of left it unfinished, so there's a chance to wrap things up for the fans."
The reboot series on NBC is expected to take the fans in a new direction with only a few cast members from the original series returning. The new cast is expected to take the show to a new level and embark on a dangerous journey in a world that is divided about their existence.
It is set to premiere on NBC on Sept. 24 this fall.
