One of the more anticipated events for next season's installment of "American Horror Story" is the pending appearance by the "Fame Monster" Lady Gaga, according to Us Magazine.

But fans of the show should take a step back and realize some of the actors that have famously played roles in the series, notably roles of the protagonist, are taking a turn for the worse -- meaning they are going bad in the "AHS: Hotel" season, and that may also include Gaga herself.

Make no mistake, the horror anthology is following the theme it has stuck to over the past four seasons, but it will be deviating from its original playbook a bit and doing something they haven't done in previous seasons: bringing characters back to the show and tying this season in with other seasons.

This seems to have already happened with Pepper in Season 4, but show creator Ryan Murphy cited this at the San Diego Comic-Con 2015 panel this year, and the season will have more returning characters played by the same actors.

Lady Gaga's role on the show seems to be as an antagonist.

The famous singer landed the role on the series when she got in contact with Murphy and asked him about becoming a cast member for the "Hotel" installment. Murphy quickly responded in the affirmative, and the rest was history.

Murphy recalled at Comic-Con the conversation he had with the singer.

"She [Lady Gaga] said, 'I want to be evil,'" Murphy told the crowd at SDCC 2015. "I said, 'You came to the right place.'"

So that brings fans to the current where she has been promoted in a new and brief teaser for the show playing up her role in the series and giving anxious fans even more hype about the next season.
