Former pro wrestler and current Hollywood blockbuster star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson shared a video on Instagram of a disturbing injury he sustained earlier this week.

The star showed a finger that was pointing the wrong way in a gruesome manner.

The disturbing look of the injury is akin to seeing an athlete's leg break or even some wild video of a stunt gone wrong. Videos like this, which fans saw happen live to Kevin Ware of the University of Louisville last year during March Madness, make fans and viewers cringe in shock.

"I just stepped off set. My director, Rawson Thurber, just ran up to me. We had a little accident. He said, 'Are you bleeding?' I said, 'Bleeding? I ain't got time to bleed.' Alright, let's pop the son-of-a-b*tch back in," Johnson said on the video with a laugh.

But Variety reports that video was taken on the set of Johnson's new movie "Central Intelligence" and the video was just a joke. The hand with the seemingly broken finger was a prosthetic that made people cringe in tingling fear.

The joke was confirmed by a representative from New Line, who is undertaking the project directed by Thurber, which Johnson spoke about on the video.

The film will star Johnson and Kevin Hart. Johnson will portray a CIA assassin in the film who reconnects with an old friend from high school played by Hart.

Hart's character is an ex-high school sports star who has a sadly boring existence now as an accountant. Johnson tries to spice up his life now with an assignment that means he will help foil a plot to sell classified military secrets to an unspecified country or militia.

Thurber is also well-known for his directing role in the hit film "We're the Millers," which spawned a TV series spinoff.
