Super Bowl 2014 Live Stream and Where to Watch: How to View the Big Game for Free From Your Computer
This year the Superbowl between the Seattle Seahawks and the Denver Broncos will air on Fox on Sunday, Feb. 2. Kickoff is scheduled to take place at 6:30 p.m. Eastern Time with Fox's pregame beginning at 2 p.m. ET.
The day promises to be a big one for American Football fans everywhere. Bruno Mars and the Red Hot Chili Peppers will be playing the halftime show in a very cold Metlife Stadium in New Jersey: The Weather Channel predicts that winds could be at a gusting 6-9 mph while the weather will be around 40 degrees at kickoff.
For those who don't have cable or will be at work or somewhere they can't sit in front of their television, Fox will be airing the Superbowl live for no charge through its website and Fox Sports Go app.
To watch from a laptop, go to FoxSportsGo.com. Programming will be available for free from 12 a.m. Feb. 2 to 3 a.m. Feb. 3, ET. You can also watch the game from the Fox Sports Go app for iPad which is available for free download from the Apple Store. The companies involved have made it so that the Fox Sports Go app will only work on iPad and not on smartphones.
Watching from your smartphone is a bit more complicated but still possible. You'll have to download the NFL Mobile app, available on BlackBerry, iPhone, Windows Phone and Android. The free version of the app only includes the live score and highlights, but you can see the game if you pay a $5 subscription fee.
The two teams are very evenly matched, with one oddsmaker saying: "Take your best shot. It's an intriguing matchup with no clear cut favorite. [...] It's incredible already, they're lined up betting this game like it started a half hour from now. If we don't do $100 million on this game I'd be really puzzled. With the game being in New York and the early forecast for below normal temperatures that favors a defensive team. It also favors a running team and that's certainly an advantage to the Seahawks."
