Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks have yet to reach a new deal heading into the 2015 NFL season, but the star quarterback believes everything will work out for both parties.

Wilson will be playing in the final year of his contract in the upcoming season and is scheduled to get $1.54 million. While the quarterback has made it no secret that he wants a new contract soon, the Seahawks appear unready to make the move and could wait until next offseason.

When asked about his contract situation, Wilson told ESPN that he is confident that the issue will eventually be settled. He dismissed talks about the possibility of leaving the Seahawks, saying that he is committed to staying in Seattle, where he has spent his entire three-year NFL career.

"I love Seattle, it's a great city," Wilson said. "I'm going to play my butt off every day. That's all I know, and we'll see what happens."

Earlier this month, Wilson also gave an assurance that his current contract situation will not affect his performance next season. He said that he will bring his A-Game every game regardless of his salary.

"Ultimately, it comes down to the play. I let my play speak for itself and let the rest take care of itself," Wilson told Marty Smith of ESPN. "I continue to love the game for what it is and continue to fight and continue to play no matter how much I'm getting paid, no matter if it's $25 million or if it's $1.5 million. I'll be ready to go."

NFL insider Ian Rapoport revealed that talks between the Seahawks and Wilson's camp will continue until the start of the upcoming season, but it does not mean the 26-year-old will get a new deal from his team.

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll also admitted that he wants Wilson to stay.

"Well, he's crucial, as are all of our guys, and we want him back playing for us forever," Carroll said via Seattle Times. "There's a lot of work being done. It's underway right now and maybe it happens, I don't know. We're hoping for it."

Wilson tallied 3,475 passing yards for 20 touchdowns and also listed 849 rushing yards for six touchdowns for the Seahawks last season.
