NBC ‘Hannibal’ Spoilers Season 3, Episode 8: ‘Red Dragon’ is Finally Here, See The Chilling Preview Video [WATCH]
The NBC series "Hannibal" has been reaching climatic new heights, and suffice it to say, it is one of the most disturbing shows on TV. Due to a switch in date and times for the show, Episode 7 will be airing this Saturday. But Episode 8, which is titled "The Great Red Dragon," will be airing on July 25 at 9 p.m. EDT on NBC, according to TV Guide.
The series will take a new turn with the Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) saga after Episode 7 airs tomorrow. This will be the point at which the series will wrap all previous story lines in the series and start out with the original source material by author Thomas Harris and his "Red Dragon" novel.
Although the events that happen before this episode are so harrowing and disturbing, suffice it to say that Lecter and Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) have reached a pivotal point at which their relationship has soured the love they feel for one another.
Following the harrowing ordeal with Mason Verger in Episode 7, "The Great Red Dragon" picks up three years later with Lecter still imprisoned at the Baltimore State Hospital for the Criminally Insane. This is the point in which a new serial killer has emerged, dubbed "The Tooth Fairy," according to Spoilers Guide.
Will Graham had already moved on with his life and started a new one outside of the FBI or anything that involves profiling a killer. But Jack Crawford (Laurence Fishburne) reaches out to Will for help in catching the new killer, which is actually Francis Dolarhyde (Richard Armitage), according to Zap2it.
The Dolarhyde investigation is what essentially brings Will back to Lecter, seeking his help in profiling the new killer and making some progress.
NBC released a sneak peek at the episode and the ensuing storyline that will fill out the season (and the series). See the bone-chilling video below.
