"Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Teresa Giudice is rumored to be planning to appear in her husband's Bravo-aired spin off reality show from behind bars.

TMZ reports when Joe Giudice's two-part special airs on the network sometime later this year, Teresa is slated to be featured in scenes where she presumably counsels her husband on how best to care for their four young daughters in her absence, over the telephone.

Currently, 43-year-old Teresa is serving out the remainder of her 15-month sentence on bank fraud-related charges at the Danbury Federal Facility and isn't scheduled to be released before early next year. With time off for good behavior, she could be home as early as around Christmas time.

TMZ adds Bravo officials weren't able to get a camera inside the prison to shoot scenes and the phone was the next best option. Reportedly, Teresa is slated to be paid an appearance fee for her scenes, which does not conflict with "Son of Sam" laws prohibiting people from profiting off their crimes as the law only pertains to violent offenses.

Whenever his wife is released, Joe Giudice is scheduled to begin serving out his 41-month sentence after being convicted of similar offenses. Meanwhile, Teresa has already signed on to return to the cast of "Real Housewives" once she has been released and reportedly will earn as much as $2 million per season. Network officials are rumored to have delayed filming for the new season in hopes of being able to include her in more scenes.

As part of a plan to pay back at least $400,000 in retribution she owes to the government, Teresa has agreed to have at least 25 percent of her Bravo salary garnished until the debt is cleared.
