Though 36 women have accused comedian Bill Cosby of sexual assault, and he admitted giving women Quaaludes to have sex with them in a newly released 2005 deposition, his wife, Camille Cosby, does not believe that her husband is a sexual predator -- or a rapist.

The New York Post reported on July 12 Camille claimed the women knew about the drugs added to their beverages and consented to sex with her husband.

A source close to the couple said the 71-year-old Camille, whose been married to Bill since 1965, was aware her husband cheated on her. She reportedly believes the dozens of accusations against her husband are personal offenses aimed at her or that the women are "taking advantage" of his fame.

The 10-year-old deposition, which the Cosbys tried to keep private for years, was revealed by The New York Times on Saturday. In it, the legendary comedian presented himself as an unapologetic playboy who used powerful sedatives, fame and feigned concern in an insatiable pursuit of sex with young women.

The 78-year-old actor completed the deposition for a lawsuit filed in 2005 by a young woman named Andrea Constand. She accused him of drugging and molesting her. The case was settled for an undisclosed amount.

Bill insisted the drug he had given Constand was Benadryl, but he also admitted having access to Quaaludes, a sedative and party drug.

"When you got the Quaaludes, was it in your mind that you were going to use these Quaaludes for young women that you wanted to have sex with?" Constand's lawyer, Dolores Troiani, asked in the deposition.

"Yes," Cosby said on Sept. 29, 2005.

In the case, Bill said his wife would have known he was helping Constand with her education, but, "My wife would not know it was because Andrea and I had had sex and that Andrea was now very, very upset and that she decided that she would like to go to school."

Meanwhile, two women mentioned in the deposition are requesting a Pennsylvania judge unseal the full transcript. The women, represented by attorney Gloria Allred, served as anonymous witnesses to the 2005 Constand case.

Beth Ferrier has alleged Bill placed drugs in her coffee while she visited him in Denver and that the star might have raped her, according to Allred.

Rebecca Lynn Neal has accused him of drugging and raping her after they met in a Las Vegas health club where she worked.

Both women deny knowing about the drugs and are adamant they did not consent to sex with the actor. The women and Allred said on July 13 during a press conference they also want Cosby's wife to "voice her support for the alleged victims."

"My goodness, Camille, please. It's time," Ferrier said, according to New York Daily News. "We're telling the truth. She needs to support us."
