Evelyn Lozada, 'Livin Lozada' News Update: Reality TV Star Reveals She Suffered Miscarriage on Most Recent Episode
Evelyn Lozada revealed during the most recent episode of her OWN Network reality show "Livin Lozada" she suffered a miscarriage, which would have been her third child.
According to E! Online, the former "Basketball Wives" star admitted, based on her low hormone levels, the pregnancy ended at around the six-week mark.
"I feel like when something tragic like this happens, I've always learned that there is something better to come and I guess that's what I hold onto," Lozada reflected during Saturday night's episode. "That it just wasn't meant to be."
Lozada also shared with daughter and co-star Shaniece she recently woke up at the break of dawn because of all the physical pain she was feeling.
"I woke up this morning -- early, early this morning," she said through tears. "It was literally still dark outside -- and I started feeling cramping. I knew . . . the process was starting."
But now, with the comfort and support of family and friends, Lozada reflects she's been able to find peace with all that's happened.
"I feel better," she told her daughter. "I'm like, OK, it's happening. I've accepted it. I feel like I can deal."
Lozada and LA Dodgers star outfielder Carl Crawford are already the proud parents of a baby boy named Leo. And she has Shaniece from a previous relationship. She is now hoping all her trials and tribulations will serve as a source of inspiration to countless other women who have experienced similar hardships.
"Getting the news that my hormone levels dropped was/is devastating," she posted on Twitter. "Hardest thing ever. Thank you to everyone who tuned in. It's a true blessing to share my life, my new beginning and all that it encompasses."
"Livin Lozada" airs Saturday nights at 9 p.m. only on OWN.
