Mortal Kombat X Updates, Characters, Gameplay: Tremor Added to Character Roster, More Character Skins
Mortal Kombat X is getting its fourth and final add-on character starting Tuesday, according to PC Magazine. Tremor will be added as a playable character as part of downloadable content (DLC).
Tremor last appeared in 2000's Mortal Kombat: Special Forces, but according to Kotaku, this will be the first time he is a fully playable character.
Tremor has golden, fire and stone arms as well as a green-glowing goo. He is capable of using Earth magic to crush his opponents bones and souls.
Tremor is available as part of the Tremor Bundle, which also includes the Klassic Skins Pack 2. The Tremor Bundle is available to subscribers of the $30 season pass Kombat Pack, which gives players access to all of the DLC, bonus characters and character skins.
Without the Kombat Pack, players will have to wait until July 28 to purchase either the Tremor DLC bundle that includes the skins for $8, or just the Tremor character for $5.
Earlier this year, NetherRealm Studios, the game's developer, announced that there would be four add-on characters available as DLC to the game. These characters include Tremor, Tanya, The Predator and Jason Voorhees from "Friday the 13th."
To introduce the Tremor character, NetherRealm Studios plans to broadcast a live stream of Tremor in action. The live stream will begin at 4 p.m. EDT on the game streaming website Twitch, according to Game Spot.
Even though this is the last planned DLC pack that Mortal Kombat X is releasing, Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon hinted that more characters could make their way into the game. Characters that did not make the cut into Mortal Kombat X could wind up being added, and so could characters from outside the game.
To stay tuned into the rumors and news of Mortal Kombat X, players are encouraged to follow Boon on Twitter (@noobde).
