Fans of the soccer simulation video game, "Pro Evolution Soccer 2016" or "PES 2016," are in for a visual treat. It has been confirmed that the title, which will be available to both the Xbox One and PS4, will be made in 1080p resolution.

The news is a welcome thought to fans of the franchise, who were disappointed when "PES 2015" came out. The previous iteration of the title came out in 60 frames per second but was only made in 720p for the Xbox One. The Playstation 4 version came out in 1080p.

Earlier this year, Konami told fans that the PS4 version of "PES 2016" is confirmed to run in 1080p while the developers are still aiming for the same resolution in the Xbox One.

But on Wednesday, good news finally arrived in the form of a Twitter post, revealing that Xbox One users will be getting the same resolution as the PS4 version.

European Product Manager Adam Bhatti took to the social microblogging site to announce the news of Konami's success in the Microsoft gaming console.

"We go there thankfully, Xbox One #PES 2016 will be 1080p," wrote Bhatti.

According to Game Revolution, the success in making the game playable in 1080p is due to the newly released Xbox One SDK from Microsoft. This update enabled developers to push the game and maximize the potential of the console and upgrade the 720p to 1080p.

"PES 2016" uses the Fox Engine in creating graphics for the titles, the same engine used in "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain." As such, the confirmed report of "PES 2016" in 1080p has sparked rumors that the purportedly last title made by Hideo Kojima with Konami might run in the same resolution as well.

While Bhatti's post did not confirm that the game will also run in 60fps, many believe that it might be the case since "PES 2015" ran in 60fps despite being made in 720p, noted Segment Next.

The upcoming title from Konami is set on correcting all the mistakes it made in previous iterations and these include the upgrade on resolution.

The developers have added a feature that will allow players to customize their character's kits, although this is only available to the PlayStation edition of the title, wrote Full FIFA.

The game will also see a more realistic feel to its weather conditions as Konami has worked hard on ensuring an accurate weather depiction in the title.

"Pro Evolution Soccer 2016" will come out for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC on September 15.
