“Teen Wolf,” MTV’s slick remake and retooling of the 1980s Michael J. Fox starring horror comedy, is getting heavy into blame-game territory.

In the last episode, “A Novel Approach,” the gang seeks out the counsel of local nut job Doctor Valack (Steven Brand), who informs Scott (Tyler Posey) and his pals that the Dreads -- a group of barely human supernatural worshiping scientists that have come to wreak havoc on the town -- have been there before.

Apparently Scott and his pals sent the Dreads a personal invitation to return to Beacon Hills. “And now they’re back, all because a few teenagers who never even considered the consequences decided to reignite a supernatural force they barely understand,” says Doctor Valack.

According to Spoilers Guild, on Monday’s episode, which is titled "Required Reading,” the teen team will begin to experience strange things after listening to what Valack tells them.

Jeff Davis, the creator of the series, spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about what is in store for the show, saying that Valack will keep on playing his increasing important role as some kind of loony guide who helps the kids battle their evil enemies. “We'll learn more in the second half of season five about how he gains a level of control over Eichen House,” says Davis.

When asked where Kira (Arden Cho) and Scott’s relationship was going to go, David was not too optimistic. Kira has been growing in power all season. According to Davis, “The rise in her power and her lack of control begins to push them apart."

But the whole group may in fact be parting ways as the season comes to a close. “Scott and his friends will face the possible dissolution of their pack and even their friendships,” says Davis.

“Teen Wolf” airs on MTV on Mondays at 10/9c.
