The Super Bowl halftime show was marked with Bruno Mars' performance with his hit songs "Locked Out Of Heaven," "Treasure," and "Just The Way You Are," Rolling Stone reports.

Viewers were treated to a full-on festival as Mars and his band, The Hooligans, all dressed in Motown-style suits rocked the stage to remind people that the halftime show can be just as intense as the main event.

As if that's not enough, the entertainer started singing Red Hot Chili Peppers' 1991 hit single "Give It Away" before being joined by the band on the stage. And true to Chili Peppers style, band vocalist Anthony Kiedis and wild-man bassist Flea dominated the stage with no shirts, ignoring the teeth-chattering cold of the Super Bowl.

After the performance, the band shared their thoughts on their experience working with Mars and his crew. According to the Huffington Post, Kiedis said, "Bruno Mars is a complete and utter gentleman. I gained a ton of respect. He was awesome, intelligent, (and) kind."

Flea added, "Bruno is a very nice man and his band (mates) are a bunch of sweethearts and it was very nice to work with all of them."

Mars shares the same sentiment as he revealed his reason for choosing RHCP as his co-performers in a press release courtesy of The Hollywood Reporter: "The first band I thought of was the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I've been a fan of theirs for such a long time, I admire their career. They're a soulful band - and not just musically, but as people. I sat down with Flea, and he's so passionate about music. Even to this day, doing it for so long, he's still passionate about creating music and performing. I want to surround myself with guys like that forever, and it's an honor to share the stage with them. They're one of my personal favorite bands of all time."
