'Mr. Robot' Preview: Elliot Hacks the Prison System, Who is He Breaking Out? [Watch]
After an action-packed episode of "Mr. Robot" last week, Elliot (Rami Malek) must get someone out of prison.
In the next episode of the gripping USA series, Elliot faces his past and gets someone out of prison. According to CarterMatt, this is the synopsis for the episode, entitled "eps1.5_br4ve-trave1er.asf": "to save someone elliot cares abt, hes gotta hack vera- badass drug-dealer- out of jail. tyrells 'game' gets crazy. angela digs deeper into moms death."
Remember Vera (Elliot Villar)? He was the drug dealer who was in a relationship with Elliot's current girlfriend Shayla (Frankie Shaw). In the last episode, Vera figured out that Elliot was the one sent him to jail and even stated, "The universe brought us together for a reason." In the promo below, you can see that Elliot made a couple of prison visits, and the two seem to be planning a prison break.
More than likely, Elliot will be forced to participate in this prison break. With his goons outside of prison, Vera could use Shayla as leverage to get what he wants. It should be interesting to see how Elliot will hack into the prison system, which is quite a difficult task. After the failed Steel Mountain hacking mission, will Elliot rebound for Shayla's sake?
In another ongoing subplot, Angela (Portia Doubleday) looks deeper into what really happened to her mother. What will she find out this week?
"Mr. Robot" ratings have been surging as of late. According to Variety, ratings have increased since the second episode of the series. Currently, Season 1 of "Mr. Robot" is at 97 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. The show stars Malek as Elliot Alderson, a young programmer who works as a cyber-security engineer by day and as a vigilante hacker by night. Christian Slater stars as the mysterious leader of an underground hacker group.
"Mr. Robot" airs Wednesday at 10 p.m. on USA.
