Several hit and runs of cyclists in the Los Angeles area have occurred lately, and police are still searching for suspects in the cases. So far, they've had little to go on.

In the latest case, the victim appears to have been the recipient of road rage, as he became a clear target for the driver after the two got into a fight. The LAPD has posted a video of the incident which can be seen here.

"The driver intentionally rammed the bicyclist with his vehicle, pinning him to a metal rolling trash bin," the LAPD said in a statement. "The bicyclist punched the driver in the face," adding that the driver "threatened to kill the victim and followed him."

The hit and run occurred at the 9000 block of Wilshire Boulevard on April 3rd. Police are still looking for suspects in the case, and say that the driver was a white or Middle Eastern male in his 30's who drives a white BMW 328i. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and is recovering.

Another hit and run accident late last month did not end so well for the cyclist involved. Police are now offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the driver who ended up killing 18-year-old David Granados.

"(Granados) looks both ways, and once he gets halfway out of the sidewalk, this SUV ... comes out of nowhere, runs the red light going 50-60 mph, hits him, doesn't even hesitate to touch the brakes," said witness Robert Eckerson.

The incident took place at the intersection of Oxnard Street and Bellaire Avenue, and authorities are still struggling to identify any suspects. The best they have to go on right now is that it was an older male driving a black/gray Mercedes-Benz SUV.

"No matter what, if he goes to jail or whatever, he can't bring him back. He's gone," said the victim's father David Granados, adding that he would like an apology from the driver. "Not just to us, to all the friends, family. That's not too much to ask, right?"
