Stephen King's novel "11/22/63" is being adapted for a miniseries on Hulu in yet another TV adaptation for the master of literary horror. The cast has been filling out quite rapidly, and now, The Hollywood Reporter has snagged a few details in regards to "Transformers" alum Josh Duhamel.

Duhamel has been cast in a starring role for the time-travel series alongside "Interview's" James Franco.

Duhamel will play Frank Dunning. Dunning is a charming butcher in the '60s also know to be a bit of a ladies' man. His charismatic style means no one would suspect what kind of evil in which he has been involved. That includes the evil acts he performs on his own family.

That of course leads to Franco's character, Jake Epping, to come to town in an attempt to change future events he knows will happen. This is a side story to the real arc, which is to prevent the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

Epping attempts to go into the past, and with his knowledge of the future events, he attempts to change the future by stopping the evil Dunning.

His success on the matter leads him to carry out the eventual mission and the whole plot of the story to stop the JFK assassination, which proves to be not nearly as easy as he thought.

Others in the cast include Chris Cooper, Cherry Jones, George MacKay, Lucy Fry and T.R. Knight. The series will be scribed by "Friday Night Lights" writer Bridget Carpenter.

J.J. Abrams is spearheading the entire project alongside King himself. King's other miniseries include "Under the Dome," "Salems Lot," "The Stand," "The Shining" and "It."
