'Elder Scrolls Online' Patch: PS4 & Xbox One Update Brings Psijic Ambrosia, Scaled Consumables, Battle Leveling & More
Zenimax has finally released the latest patch update for The Elder Scrolls Online for the PlayStation 4 version. The Update 1.05 is set to bring numerous glitches and fixes to the overall gameplay experience as well as game experience boosters.
The update is now available for download and installation.
When news of the Update 1.05 came about, many fans were shocked to see the huge size of the file, which is around 16GB. However, Assistant Community Manager Gina Bruno was quick to dismiss complaints and issued a clarification on the matter.
According to Bruno, while Update 1.05 is really 15.9 GB in size, the recent patch available is incremental.
"When you initially download today's patch, it will display something like 'updating file XX/16GB.' However, it should jump up to ~ 15GB pretty quickly, then download the 700MB patch," posted the community manager to the Elder Scrolls Online Forum.
She also clarified that the 700MB size is only for the latest patch available. Previous patches will be bigger in download size.
Some major changes to arrive to the game after the update has been installed is the arrival of Psijic Ambrosia and other "limited scaling and battle leveling consumables."
For scaled consumables, the scaling will begin in level ranges and is dependent on the base level that the item was created.
Meanwhile, battle leveling is set to help players from the lower levels to help them finish the game in Cyrodiil. According to the patch notes posted by PlayStation Lifestyle, "When you enter a campaign in Cyrodiil, regardless of whether that campaign is Veteran or non-Veteran, you are always treated as level 50 at a minimum."
Perhaps one of the highly anticipated features of the Update 1.05 is the arrival of Psijic Ambrosia that is set to change the way players' experience are boosted. With the upgrade, players can now "craft" their own Psijic Ambrosia to get a boost of up to 50 percent.
This potion is liquid in nature and can work on Provisioner passives for drinks.
No limit has been given as to when players can use the Psijic Ambrosia, whether in the beginner phase or the Veteran rank. But players cannot consecutively craft and use this potion. Only one Experience Point Booster will work at any given time in the game.
Update 1.05 will also fix the issue that arises everytime a player adds friends from the Guild Roster and Friend's List. It has also addressed different animation problems and upgraded the audio quality of the game overall.
